WHY I LOVE TO HIKE

I was born and raised in Holladay, located along the east bench of Salt Lake City and at the foot of Mt. Olympus. My teen years were spent in Golden, Colorado, a suburb of Denver closest to the Rocky Mountains. I have always lived at the foot of some great mountain range! I have always had a love for the great outdoors. Like many people who love to hike, I’d rather do it with other people. I couldn’t find anyone to hike with so I started a hiking club to bring outdoor enthusiasts together. There really is safety in numbers when you are hiking in the wilderness. I love promoting, organizing and participating in all of the hikes and hope you will join us!

Caution: It is wise to get a medical checkup before engaging in any activity such as hiking. This sport can be hazardous and dangerous. Weather conditions can change dramatically. Lightning can strike without much notice. Animals and plants can be a threat. Good judgement and knowledge of these mountains are critical. You must be willing to accept responsibility for your own behavior and actions.
