before the day of the hike, if possible, to avoid being late.
  1. 6200 South Wasatch UTA PARK N RIDE:
  2. Far SOUTH end of this new UTA Park n’ Ride at 6200 South Wasatch Blvd. (We used to meet at 7200 South but not anymore). This meeting place is for hikes in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons, Wasatch Front and other nearby trails.
  3. Skyline High School:
  4. Outside, near the street, on the SOUTH side of the front circle drive way of the school. Address: 3800 South Upland Drive (approx. 3300 East), SLC, Utah. This meeting place is for hikes in Millcreek, East Canyon, Parley’s Canyon, Park City and other trails nearby. Note: Millcreek Canyon charges a $2.25 fee per car to get out of the canyon. Seniors get a discount. An annual pass is $22.
  5. State Capitol:
  6. LOWER EAST Side of the State Capitol. Get to the State Capitol by going North on State Street, up the steep hill and follow it around to the lower East Side. This meeting place is for hikes in City Creek Canyon, Ensign Peak, Memory Grove, the Avenues and other nearby trails.
  7. Hogle Zoo:
  8. Far EAST end of the parking lot at Hogle Zoo, 2600 East Sunnyside Ave.(900 South), SLC, 84108. This meeting place is for hikes up Emigration Canyon, Red Butte Canyon and trails nearby.
  9. UTA TRAX:
  10. Far EAST end of the UTA TRAX Parking Lot, 3900 South and West Temple, Meadowbrook Station. This meeting place is for hikes that require us to get on I-15 and travel North or South to Mueller Park in Bountiful, Antelope Island, Mt. Timpinogas in American Fork, etc.
